Eating and drinking

You will be seriously spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking. Between the Old Town, Port and Arenal there are so many options, from simple, family tapas bars all the way up to Michelin star dining, with everything in between. Here's some of the places we go back to again and again.

Volta i volta

Set in a beautiful old building in the old town, Volta i Volta is run by a young Italian-Spanish couple who offer organic, seasonal produce and traditional recipes with a modern twist. With knowledgeable and friendly staff, beautifully presented food, and a great wine selection this is a local gem.

La Siesta

Stylish and relaxed lounge bar with a distinctly Ibizan vibe, La Siesta is situated on the seafront between the Port and Arenal, a short stroll from either direction. Open all day for food and relaxing on the day beds, La Siesta is a great place to hang out over a cocktail or a bite to eat while taking in the views over the Mediterranean.

Restaurante Calima

Situated in the heart of the Port, Restaurant Calima has been running since 1989 and it's not hard to see why regulars go back time and again. With a varied menu offering Mediterranean cuisine and specialising in fresh seafood, super friendly staff and a fantastic location overlooking Javea Bay, make sure to make a reservation as the outside tables get booked up early.

Cala Clemence

With amazing views overlooking the island of Portichol and the pretty blue and white fishermen's cottages of Cala Barraca, restaurant and bar Cala Clamence has one of the most stunning locations on the coast. Perfect for a relaxed post-beach cocktail or a wind down over a bite to eat.

Tula

This simple restaurant behind the Arenal offers unpretentious yet imaginative dishes. The knowledgeable staff are friendly and informative about the tapas style menu. Now with a Michelin star and several other awards on the Spanish gastronomic scene, the talents of the young owner and chef are being recognised!

The Beach House

The Beach House has a chilled out Ibiza style bar upstairs and a relaxed bistro downstairs, both overlooking the turquoise waters of Javea bay. Grab a simple bite or a drink with friends whilst chilling out to relaxed tunes  and taking in the views.

Santa Coqueta

Blink and you miss it, Santa Coqueta is tucked away in the historic centre of the old town. With it's cute terrace and tapas bar, Santa Coqueta is perfect to grab some tapas and wine or vermouth before heading out for the night. For a more formal experience, head over to the Portitxol restaurant adjoining the bar.
